
Here are some ways to ensure a working smoke alarm:
- Make sure that the smoke alarm’s batteries are fresh and have not expired. Replace them if necessary.
- Check that the alarm has not been tampered with or damaged.
- Test the alarm by pressing the test button on the back of the unit.
